Alan E. Hein, O.D.
Dr. Hein is a licensed optometrist and has been practicing optometry in the Chicago West Suburbs since 1987. In addition to his general family eye care practice, Dr. Hein specializes in complex contact lens, athletic-vision screenings, glaucoma research and treatment, laser vision correction, refractive surgery and routine diabetic examinations.
Dr. Hein is a native of Chicago’s South Side and a graduate of both St. Mary's University of Minnesota and the Illinois College of Optometry. His education included an externship with the Navy at Great Lakes Naval Hospital.
He is also known for his charitable work with the Illinois Special Olympics.
Sarah Frassato, O.D.
Dr. Sarah Frassato is a licensed optometrist practicing full scope optometry, including pediatric and geriatric eye care.
She is a graduate of both the University of Illinois at Chicago and the Illinois College of Optometry. She completed her clinical training at the Illinois Eye Institute pediatrics department, Hines VA Blind Rehabilitation Center, Crown Point VA outpatient clinic, as well as the Victorian College of Optometry in Melbourne, Australia.
Her special interests include contact lens fitting and the role of nutrition in ocular health.
She is a member of the Illinois Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
