Alan E. Hein, O.D.
Dr. Hein is a licensed optometrist and has been practicing optometry in the Chicago West Suburbs since 1987. In addition to his general family eye care practice, Dr. Hein specializes in complex contact lens, athletic-vision screenings, glaucoma research and treatment, laser vision correction, refractive surgery and routine diabetic examinations.
Dr. Hein is a native of Chicago’s South Side and a graduate of both St. Mary's University of Minnesota and the Illinois College of Optometry. His education included an externship with the Navy at Great Lakes Naval Hospital.
He is also known for his charitable work with the Illinois Special Olympics.
David F. Martin, O.D.
Dr. Martin is a licensed optometrist that specializes in general eye care, contact lenses, pediatrics and binocular vision, and eye diseases including glaucoma. He also provides routine diabetic eye exams and pre-screening exams for patients interested in LASIK.
A graduate of the Illinois College of Optometry, he has completed clinical training rotations in both pediatrics and geriatric eye care. His training also included management of severe corneal disease as well.
Dr. Martin completed his internships at Chicago’s West Side Veterans Hospital. He completed another internship rotation at the Illinois Eye Institute, where he provided primary eye care and contact lenses with an emphasis on management and treatment of ocular diseases.
